Welcome class of 1996

1996

  • Bill Clinton is re-elected as US President.
  • The centennial Olympic Games are held in Atlanta, GA.
  • Unibomber, Ted Kaczynski, is arrested.
  • The Macarena (need I say more)
And nearly 250 students crossed the stage in at the Sullivan Central High School stadium to graduate and go on to bigger and better things.

Now, 20 years later, it's time to get back together, to reunite as the class of 1996.

Join us for the Sullivan Central Class of 1996 20 year reunion on Sept 30 - Oct 2. We are planning a weekend full of events.  You are welcome to attend all events, or just pick and choose which ones appeal to you.

We will be meeting at the stadium for Central's Homecoming game against Sullivan South on Friday Sept 30. Special seating will be reserved for those classmates who attend.  Admission to the game is $6 and tickets can be bought at the gate.  We will have desserts available in the Central commons after the game. You are also welcome to tour the school after the game. (Central might only be a high school for a few more years, so this could be your last opportunity to see it and remember it as it was.)

On Saturday Oct 1 from 6:30 - 10 PM we will have the "big" reunion event.  This event will be held at the quaint little venue called Our House in Johnson City (www.ourhousejc.com). Details about dinner and reunion costs will be announced soon.  Casual dress is fine.

Our last event for the weekend will be Family Day on Sunday Oct 2 from 2-4 at the Eastman Cabins of Bays Mountain Park. Please feel free to bring your own snacks or drinks. There are several playgrounds and a creek for children to play in.

If you are planning to attend and you have not already replied on our FB group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/40617461688/), please leave a comment on this post so we can get a rough idea of how many people to expect.
